About Marc Vijver

Marc (1968) is an investment industry veteran, approved as an independent board member for both pension funds and investment firms by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).
Short bio: Marc started derivatives trading back in 1989, founding his first company in 1993. His role evolved to the risk management side, and the company grew every year until it was bought by public company AOT/Binck in 2003. At the end of 2004 he switched focus to private projects, keeping a 85% stake in a small asset management firm. After selling this off, he founded The Index People. In 2019 Marc sold his 50% stake in The Index People, the company he set up in 2007, but continues to work for the company as a strategic advisor. Marc also sits on various boards of companies, pension funds and investment committees.
